The Falbel DeltaTM Model 13 AC solar collector is a 16" x 121"
solar panel. It has been fully accepted by U.S. Housing and
Urban Development Agency and U.S. Department of Energy for solar
grants and tax credits, and has successfully passed
the National Bureau of Standards 9377 Solar Collector
Qualification test, which includes a 30 day, high temperature
stagnation period.
This collector is unique in that it optically focuses the sun's
energy on both the front and the rear surfaces of the absorber
plate, thereby reducing the area and, more importantly, the cost
of this key solar collector component. The absorber plate is
coated on both front and rear surfaces with a black selective
absorber. Due to its patented, concentrating reflector curve, the
Model 13 AC collector can absorb direct and diffuse sunlight over
its full aperture through an elevation angle greater than 90°
and an azimuth angle of 180° while not requiring sun tracking or
movement of any kind throughout the year. It can, therefore,
functionally replace any flat plate collector.
There are no joints in the copper fluid passage internal to the
Model 13AC collector housing. This has an important bearing
on solar heating system longevity. Most flat plate collectors
use copper tube "grid" patterns which have upwards of 18
soldered or brazed joints in the grid, and any leaks that occur
will probably at one of these joints. In view of this feature,
Optical Energy Technologies Inc. can confidently warrant the
fluid passage in its Model 13AC solar collectors for 20 years.

$300 including packaging for shipment by truck.
